Townhouse, Private Residence • Battersea, London
Completed, 2024
Originally converted from three separate apartments into a single residence, the house had undergone a previous refurbishment that left the layout fragmented and lacking cohesion. Our challenge — and opportunity — was to rethink the structure entirely, reimagining the flow of the home with clarity, purpose, and modern family living at its core.
The ground floor was transformed into a generous, welcoming entertainment level, anchored by a contemporary kitchen and a beautifully arranged living area. With both a front and back garden, the space now breathes with light and continuity, blurring the boundary between indoors and outdoors.
The first floor was conceived as a dedicated sanctuary for the parents — a private haven featuring a serene bedroom, an elegant dressing room, a carefully detailed bathroom, and an intimate evening sitting room designed for quiet moments of retreat.
The upper level accommodates the family’s daily rhythm, with four well-proportioned bedrooms, a family bathroom, and thoughtfully designated spaces: two children’s rooms filled with natural light, a guest bedroom created for comfort and calm, and a home office positioned to overlook the lush patchwork of neighbouring gardens — a workspace made tranquil by its elevated view.
Throughout the house, light natural materials and softly sculpted, organic forms have shaped an atmosphere of ease and refinement. Warm tones, gentle textures, and a careful layering of contemporary craftsmanship give the interiors an inviting sense of harmony.
This transformation stands as one of our most rewarding — a home redefined with clarity, beauty, and balance, where thoughtful design now flows effortlessly through every floor.
